Overview
PicklyTool provides static, browser-based tools for making random groups, teams, pairs, and name selections. There is no account system, application database, or backend endpoint that receives the names entered into these tools.
The short version: names and generated results are processed in your browser. PicklyTool does not upload, sell, or use them for analytics.
Names and lists
When you enter names, the browser parses and randomizes the list on your device. PicklyTool does not transmit the list to its servers or store it in a database. Refreshing or closing the page clears the current inputs and generated result unless your browser independently restores form state.
PicklyTool does not use analytics events, session replay, advertising pixels, or other tracking to collect text entered into a tool, generated names, group assignments, or copied results.
Technical request data
The hosting provider may process ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an IP address, browser and device information, requested URL, timestamp, and security or operational logs. This information is separate from the names entered into a tool, which are processed locally.
PicklyTool currently does not run product analytics or advertising trackers. If privacy-respecting page analytics are introduced later, this policy will be updated before use, and tool inputs and results will remain excluded.
Clipboard and sharing
Copying only occurs after you activate a copy control. When supported, the share control passes the result to your device's native sharing interface, where you choose the receiving app or service. Any third-party service you select is governed by its own privacy terms.
Cookies and browser storage
PicklyTool does not intentionally use cookies or local storage to retain entered names or generated results. The hosting platform or security infrastructure may use strictly necessary mechanisms to deliver and protect the site.
Classrooms and responsible use
Do not enter sensitive personal information. Teachers, facilitators, employers, and other organizers are responsible for using appropriate names or labels and following the privacy rules that apply to their setting. Initials, first names, or temporary identifiers can reduce unnecessary disclosure.

PicklyTool may link to external websites. Their privacy practices are outside PicklyTool's control, so review their policies before providing information.
Changes and contact
This policy may change when the site, hosting, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a revised effective date.
